Release 4.4

Release date: 01/31/2018

Overview

This release includes:

Features

Granular Security Phase 1

Granular Security is a large development effort with the goal of providing better tools for controlling how information is accessed within the application and what functions end-users are allowed to perform. Please read below for more information on each feature relating to the first phase of Granular Security.

Application Settings

The Setup area now features a new page called Application Settings. This page is only accessible by users with the ‘Security Administrator’ permission and it is used to turn on/off the following features in the B2W Inform application

  • Allow copying from previously filled out forms.
  • This setting can be turned on/off for the entire tenant. Additionally, if it is turned on, this setting can be turned on/off for individual templates

  • Allow users to delete forms that have been approved.

  • Allow users to edit forms that have been completed.
  • This setting can be turned on/off for the entire tenant.

  • Allow users to recall forms that have been approved.
  • This setting can be turned on/off for the entire tenant. Additionally, if it is turned on, this setting can be turned on/off for individual templates.

Business Units

B2W Inform now provides the ability to create Business Units to represent divisions or branches within your company.

Approve/Reject Workflow in Templates

Template creators can now limit the list of form approvers for a template or define a specific approval sequence for a template. This new feature provides template creators with more control over who is reviewing submitted forms.

Change User Permissions to Read Only

As part of our effort to provide more granular security options and improve performance across the application, individual user permissions were discontinued as part of this release. Granting permissions to users will be done through User Groups (think of these as Security Roles) and the permissions table for individual users is now read-only. The permissions table will also continue to display a user’s effective permissions (the permissions a user has inherited from users groups).
